- The term ‘Owner’ refers to the person of whom the dog belongs, or who that dog’s responsibility has been charged to whilst employing the services of Lakeland Dog Walker.
Owner Responsibilities: -
- Owner should use the online booking system to book, cancel or amend a service. The earlier you book, the more chance there is of getting the service you require.
- Owner must ensure there is clear access to their house so Lakeland Dog Walker can conduct the service they’ve been booked to do.
- Owner must ensure the online database is completed with as much detail about their pet as possible. The more information Lakeland Dog Walker has about your pet, the easier it is to provide the best service.
- Owner should leave a dog towel out for Lakeland Dog Walker to use when returning after a walk.
Bookings & Cancellation: -
- Please use Lakeland Dog Walkers online booking system when booking, cancelling or amending a service. Bookings and cancellations are only confirmed once you have received a reply from Lakeland Dog Walker. (If you can’t access the online booking system, please call or message Naomi on 07702274668).
- If for some reason you have to cancel or rearrange a service, please give us as much notice as possible, however the deadline is 17:00 the previous day for Social Dog Walks and Pet Pop-Ins, and 9:30 the previous day for Solo Dog Walks and Expawdition Days. If you fail to let us know by these deadlines, you will be charged 50% of the service fee (as a dog walker will have already been organised). If you cancel on the day the service is booked for or forget to cancel altogether and Lakeland Dog Walker go to see your pet and they aren’t there or do not need walking, you will be charged 100% of the service fee (this is also the case if Lakeland Dog Walker come to see to your pet and we cannot access the property).

We recommend owners provide us with a contact number of a trusted third party should we be unable to make direct contact. However, we reserve the right to make decisions regarding your dog’s health provided it is at all times acting in the best interests of the dog and on the advice of a veterinary surgeon. Owner is responsible for payment of any veterinary fees incurred by Lakeland Dog Walker.
